A Childcare-Led Coworking Experience
We want children who visit here to be happy and to feel safe and respected at all times. We model positive, respectful, and kind behavior for them as a habit and a rule.
We approach every child with kindness and sincerity, qualities that teach themselves and pay back tenfold. It is a privilege to work with your children, and we take care to ensure that every interaction they witness is positive and/or gently instructive. We know that when children “act out,” often they are sending us signals about their mental or physical wellness. It’s up to us to listen carefully to them, honor their (complex) emotions, and use empathy and other tools to help them make good decisions.
We also know that parents know their own children best. Our goal is to support YOU in your practices around potty training, transitions with separation, nap schedules, and the like. At the same time, at Equal Play we place a high value on supporting our experienced and hardworking caregivers—mentally, emotionally, economically, and professionally. We know that the varied life experiences of our caregivers, who bring their own learned wisdom to the Play Garden, immeasurably enrich the care we provide to families and children.
We take seriously the Connection Parenting mantra that “respect teaches respect.” When your children are in our care, we make it our first priority to respect them as individuals with their own needs and desires. In doing so, we also respect you, your family, and the larger community of which you’re a part. In this way, we create an environment where parents, children, and caregivers all thrive, a place where everyone grows.
